Complete Childcare Nurseries Ltd in Reading is seeking a Relief Chef for our Lower Earley Nursery on a 12‑month fixed term contract covering maternity leave. The role is full time, 40 hours per week, with a salary of £27,414.40 and a supportive team.

You will prepare nutritious meals for children under five, maintain hygiene standards, manage dietary needs, and assist with stock and safety duties. A caring attitude and nursery kitchen experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Nursery Chef preferred.
• Knowledge of hygiene and infection control required.
• Awareness of dietary needs and allergies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, nutritious meals for children under five.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cross-contamination control.
• Manage dietary restrictions and allergen considerations.
• Follow Health and Safety procedures and keep daily records.
• Monitor and rotate stock in the dry store and assist with weekly orders.
