Willing Care Recruitment Limited is looking for an experienced Nursery Chef to take full ownership of the kitchen in a warm, Ofsted-rated nursery serving under-fives in Haslemere, UK. You will ensure fresh, nutritious meals every day and work closely with a caring nursery team.

Qualificações

• Experience working as a nursery or childcare kitchen chef.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate meals for under-fives.
• Commitment to high food hygiene standards.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and serve fresh, balanced meals for under-fives according to nutritional guidance.
• Follow documented allergy and dietary requirements for each child.
• Prevent cross-contamination with clearly labeled utensils and dedicated prep areas.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic kitchen meeting food hygiene and health standards.
• Manage stock, ordering, and relationships with suppliers to keep the kitchen running.
• Maintain records of food prep, cleaning schedules, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving fresh, balanced, and age-appropriate meals in line with the nursery's nutritional guidance for under-fives
• Ensuring all meals are prepared in full accordance with each child's documented allergy and dietary requirements
• Implementing rigorous processes to prevent cross-contamination, including clearly labelled, separate utensils and preparation areas
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and hygienic kitchen at all times, meeting all food hygiene and Health & Safety standards
• Managing stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships to keep the kitchen running smoothly
• Maintaining accurate records relating to food preparation, cleaning schedules, and equipment maintenance
• Working collaboratively with the nursery team, contributing to the warm and caring ethos of the setting
