Job summary

Nuffield Health is seeking a Nursery Chef to join our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery based at Brondesbury FWC in London. This permanent, full-time role is 40 hours per week with a salary of £27,248 per annum.

You will run the nursery kitchen, prepare healthy meals from seasonal ingredients, order stock, and ensure food safety and budget compliance. The position requires good English, DBS check, and Food Allergen Awareness training (provided).

Our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery is seeking Nursery Chef to be based in our Nuffield Health gym.

You will need to have good verbal and written English, as well as Food Allergen Awareness training, which we can provide. You’re strong on organisation and confident about encouraging children to develop their love of food. And of course, you’ll require an enhanced DBS as part of your application.

As a Nursery Cook, you will:

• Be responsible for the organisation and operation for our nursery kitchen
• Work with seasonal menus and use fresh ingredients to produce healthy and nutritional food
• Order from our nominated suppliers to ensure adequate stock levels
• Work within a set budget alongside your manager
• Minimise food waste
• Support laundry and ensure the cleanliness of your kitchen
• Deal with third parties/suppliers
• Work to EHO (environmental health) standards
