Job summary

Nuffy Bear Day Nursery at a Nuffield Health gym is recruiting a Deputy Nursery Manager. Based in Bradford, the role requires leading a team, ensuring top care and education standards, and supporting the Nursery Manager in operational duties.

The successful candidate will hold NNEB / NVQ Level 3 / BTEC / BA Hons or equivalent, with EYFS knowledge preferred. The position offers a 40-hour week and benefits aligned with our wellbeing ethos.

Qualifications

• Qualified with NNEB/NVQ Level 3/BTEC/BA Hons or equivalent.
• Experience in childcare leadership and managing a nursery setting is essential.
• Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is required or desirable.

Our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery is seeking Deputy Nursery Manager to be based at our Nuffield Health gym.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help run one of the brilliant nurseries inside the UK's largest Healthcare Charity. We're Ofsted registered and we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage. From swimming to mindfulness, our initiatives are designed to support children's wellbeing and education.

As a Deputy Nursery Manager in the Nuffy Bear Day Nursery at our gym, you'll be qualified with either the NNEB, an NVQ Level 3, BTEC, BA Hons or equivalent. Ideally.

As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will:

• Support the team and deputise in the absence of the Nursery Manager
• Ensure that we provide the highest standards of care and education
• Promote the health, growth and development of every child in our nursery
• Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Oversee planning activities and assessments while implementing childcare legislation updates
• Know and implement safeguarding policies and procedures
• Maintain great communication with parents, carers and external professionals
• Support the Nursery manager in the operational responsibilities of the Nursery
• Drive the nursery to provide exceptional high quality standards in line with the Nuffy Bear Ethos
