Job summary

Lift Beacon is a thriving primary school in Loughborough seeking a Nursery Assistant to support learning and wellbeing in our Nursery provision. You will work closely with teachers and early years colleagues to help children aged 2-3 or 3-4 with development and learning.

This hands-on, rewarding role offers the chance to make a real difference during these formative years. Previous nursery experience and a Level 3 Early Years qualification are essential.

Qualifications

• Essential Level 3 Early Years qualification recognised by the DfE.
• Experience in nursery or early years settings is important.
• Applications welcomed from Nursery Assistants and Early Years Practitioners in PVI nurseries.

Responsibilities

• Support children within 2-3 or 3-4-year-old nursery provision.
• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning and play activities.
• Support children's communication, language and social development.
• Encourage independence, confidence and curiosity.
• Provide individual and small-group support where required.
• Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families.
• Support children with differing needs to participate in nursery life.
