Job summary

Nexter Recruitment is placing nursery assistants across East Leeds (LS9) to support busy rooms with hands-on care and flexible hours. You will join a warm team and help with daily routines, play activities, snacks, and outdoor exploration, rotating with colleagues to cover needs throughout the week.

Applicants may have UK nursery experience even without formal childcare qualifications, and there is no requirement for NVQ or CACHE diplomas.

Qualifications

• UK private nursery or early years setting experience (minimum 3 months).
• No NVQ or CACHE diploma required.
• Hands-on, dependable and able to support busy room life.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified room leaders with daily routines, playtime, snack times and outdoor exploration.
• Help maintain a calm and structured environment for children.
• Lend extra hands to support statutory staffing ratios and smooth room operation.

Job description

Freedom Over Your Week:

Need to work around family, childcare drop-offs, studies, or personal projects? Pick and choose your working days weekly. Work 1 day a week or up to 5 days-you set your own rota.

Zero Admin, Observations, or Profiles:

No learning journals, no formal EYFS tracking folders, and no endless paperwork. When your shift ends, you clock out and leave your work completely behind.

A Warm, Welcoming Team Environment:

You'll be placed alongside qualified room leaders who appreciate your assistance with daily routines, playtime, snack times, and outdoor exploration.

Have UK Nursery Experience but No Formal Childcare Qualification?

If you've spent at least 3 months working in a UK private nursery or early years setting, you already know how busy, fun, and fast-paced room life is. You know how to comfort a toddler, set out an engaging activity, and help keep a room running smoothly.

You don't need an NVQ or CACHE diploma to earn good money doing what you enjoy.
