At The Club, Whitburn are now looking for bank staff to support within our club. Hours are Monday to Thursday 2pm to 6pm, and Fridays 12 to 6pm. This is Term Time, and through the school holidays there will be additional hours. Our salaries and benefits are great, and there is parking on site. Ideally, you will have experience of working with children.

At The Club, Whitburn, we focus on engaging young people through play, with a strong emphasis on the outdoors, all designed to spark curiosity and imagination. We pick up from four local schools in the Whitburn/Bathgate area, including Whitdale Primary, Croftmalloch Primary, Polkemmet Primary, and St Joseph’s Primary, and can offer ad hoc sessions for parents and carers requiring childcare.

Young people at The Club can enjoy a range of activities and open play opportunities in our vibrant setting, which includes a bespoke creative space and areas to relax and socialise. Our brilliant team each bring a wealth of experience to the club and set up fun daily activities, often inspired by ideas from our young people, from messy play to woodwork.

Requirements

As a Nursery Assistant (Bank Staff), you will:

1. Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
2. Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.
3. Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments.
4. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
5. Work within a team to support all children and team members within your room.
6. Understand and ensure that the requirements of the curriculum are being met.
7. Ideally, you will have experience of caring for young children.
