At our Pied Piper Nursery in Shawlands, Glasgow, we are recruiting for Nursery Assistants to join our team, working as Bank Staff. This position supports within the nursery as and when needed, covering staff holidays and sickness. This is a zero-hour contract with great salaries offered up to £14.43 per hour depending on qualifications and experience, together with great benefits.

Part of the CC Nurseries Group, our nursery is ideally situated in a quiet area close to Shawlands train station and Shawlands shopping centre. This location allows us to offer a calming space for children to explore at their own pace. At Pied Piper, our caring and passionate team believes in nurturing children with real-life, hands-on experiences. We offer an extensive outdoor area with a unique and inspiring sensory shed and creative studio, giving children of all ages the opportunity to discover and experiment as they learn and grow. Requirements

As a Nursery Assistant (Bank Staff), you will:

1. Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
2. Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development.
3. Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments.
4. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
5. Work within a team to support all children and team members within your room.
6. Understand and ensure that the requirements of the curriculum are being met.

Ideally, candidates should have an Early Years Qualification or experience working with children under 5 years old.
