Abacus Ark Nursery Schools in Maida Vale is looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to support daily routines, play and learning in a nurturing environment. You will work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure every child has a positive nursery experience.

The position offers a 4-day week, a competitive salary (£26,500–£28,800 depending on qualifications and experience), and opportunities for training and career development within a family-run setting.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Passion for working with children.
• Previous nursery or childcare experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
• Ability to provide 2 references.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support daily nursery routines and EYFS activities
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play
• Encourage children’s learning and development through activities
• Build children’s confidence and independence
• Record observations using parent communication system
• Work collaboratively with the nursery team
• Communicate professionally with parents and carers
• Help maintain a safe, positive and inclusive environment
