Job summary

Saint Sebastian's Church of England Primary School is seeking a dedicated helper to support Nursery pupils under the National Curriculum. You will help with activities that develop early literacy and numeracy, establish positive relationships, and promote good behaviour in a caring environment.

This part-time fixed-term role is term-time only, with a 9.5 hour week schedule and duties include assisting with displays, preparing materials, and supporting learning on educational visits.

Job description

To provide support to Nursery pupils in line with the National Curriculum, codes of practice and school policies and procedures. Duties include:

• Establishing positive relationships with pupils
• Supporting pupils with activities which support literacy and numeracy skills
• Promoting positive behaviour and helping keep pupils on track
• Assisting with displaying and presenting pupils' work
• Assisting with taking pupils on educational visits
  Able to build a positive rapport and exercise patience and consistency

• Basic understanding of health and safety
