Prospero Teaching are recruiting a Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming primary school and support their on-site nursery provision in Bristol. This role suits someone passionate about early years education and who enjoys supporting children aged 3-4 in a safe, creative environment.

The successful candidate will work with the nursery team to deliver engaging activities, support learning through play and promote a positive early years experience for all children. Start date is immediate.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in early years desirable but not essential.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced child workforce DBS on update service, or willing to apply.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support children in daily routines, play and early learning activities.
• Assist nursery staff with planned lessons and free-flow learning.
• Create a warm, safe and stimulating environment.
• Support personal care routines where required.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social development.
• Communicate effectively with staff and pupils.
• Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met.
