Job summary

Senploy is seeking a dedicated nursery assistant to support children aged 2-3 in a busy nursery in Walthamstow. You will help with daily routines, play-based learning, and promoting language development in line with the EYFS framework.

The role requires warmth, reliability and the ability to work closely with nursery staff to monitor development and support transitions. ASAP start, full-time, long-term temporary position.

Qualifications

• Experience working with toddlers aged 2-3.
• Knowledge of the EYFS Framework and child development.
• Confident supporting personal care and nursery routines.
• Warm, patient and engaging with young children.

Location: Walthamstow, E17 (commutable from Leyton, Tottenham, Wood Street, Chingford and Stratford)

About the Role

- Support children aged 2-3 years throughout the nursery day

- Encourage speech, language and early communication through play

- Lead age-appropriate sensory, creative and exploratory activities

- Support personal care, toileting, mealtimes and daily routines

- Help children develop independence and positive relationships

- Promote emotional development and manage transitions sensitively

- Support learning in line with the EYFS Framework

- Work closely with nursery practitioners to monitor development

Ideal Candidate

- Previous experience working with toddlers aged 2-3 is strongly preferred

- Understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development

- Confident supporting personal care and nursery routines

- Warm, patient and engaging with young children

- Reliable, proactive and comfortable working in a busy nursery environment
