Job summary

Grandir is seeking a Nursery Apprentice to deliver high-quality care and education in a welcoming setting. You will identify each child's needs, support daily routines, and participate in reading, meals, play, and nappies changes while training toward recognised childcare qualifications.

You will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, in a supportive team environment, with safeguarding as a top priority and ongoing development opportunities across the nursery.

Qualifications

  • Maths and English at Level 1 is desirable.
  • Personal qualities: positive, practical, compassionate, focused, patient.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and meet each child's individual needs.
  • Supervise and support children throughout the day.
  • Engage in interactive activities like reading stories and playing.
  • Assist at mealtimes and help with nappies as needed.
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and work with families.

Your responsibilities will include identifying and meeting each child's individual needs, supervising and supporting them throughout the day, and engaging in a variety of interactive activities such as reading stories, helping at mealtimes, playing games, and changing nappies. You will act as a positive and practical role model, build friendly and professional relationships with staff and parents, and ensure you fully understand and follow safeguarding procedures.
