Job summary

Exemplar Health Care’s Greenacre Park in Leicester is seeking a Unit Manager (RMN/RNLD/RGN) to lead a nursing and care team on a designated unit. You will drive quality, oversee clinical elements, and ensure high standards of care for residents.

You must hold an NMC PIN, have post-registration and supervisory experience, and demonstrate strong leadership, clinical and communication skills to progress in a senior nursing role.

Qualifications

• First-level nursing registration with a valid NMC PIN.
• Post-registration and management or supervisory experience or training.
• Experience leading a nursing and care team.
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and be a role model.

Responsibilities

• Lead your unit’s care and nursing teams to meet medical, physical and emotional needs of residents.
• Provide strong leadership to maintain high standards of care and drive improvements.
• Oversee and manage all clinical elements and risks on your unit.
• Ensure care plans and risk assessments are completed timely and reflect interventions.
• Act as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you and oversee care profiles.
• Supervise and manage medication ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal.

Hours: Full time - 12 hour day shifts
Rate: £21.47 per hour

About the role

As a Unit Manager with Exemplar Health Care,you’ll be at the forefront of clinical care delivery for the people living on your designated unit.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

leading your unit’s care and nursing teams to ensure we meet the medical, physical and emotional needs of the people we support

providing strong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement

overseeing and managing all your unit’s clinical elements and risks

ensuring care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed in a timely manner and reflect care interventions appropriately

acting as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, with responsibility for the oversight, review and update of their care profiles

the supervision and management of your unit’s ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal of medication .
