Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is recruiting a Nurse Team Leader for the Chemotherapy Suite at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. The role leads a dynamic day unit delivering chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapies to adults, with supervision of staff and unit operations.

The post holder will coordinate the unit, support staff development and deputise for the Unit Sister, ensuring delivery of high-quality care in a 20-chair unit operating 08:00–20:00, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in clinical nursing is required.
• Ability to coordinate the unit and deputise for the Unit Sister.
• Commitment to education and development of nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard specialist nursing care to patients in the chemotherapy suite.
• Coordinate overall management of the unit and operate 08:00–20:00, Monday to Friday.
• Support service improvements and contribute to nursing practice development.
