The Band 6 SACT nurse provides clinical and managerial leadership to the nursing and multi-professional team. This role includes acting as a clinical leader and an expert practitioner, liaising, guiding and advising the MDT and external agencies in the provisions of optimum patient care.

More detail about the role
The post will be essential in continuing to work alongside the Band 7 within the inpatient unit. You will also be expected to work in the nurse led day case services Cherrybrook and Yarty Day case. The day cases units deliver Systemic Anti- cancer Treatment (SACT), Supportive Therapies, Ambulatory Medical and supports Acute Oncology (AO), 6 days a week and AO triage on a Sunday.
Yeo ward are looking for an experienced Oncology or Haematology nurse who is competent in oncology and haematology care supported by SACT administration. The individuals must have recent experience of SACT administration across the speciality.
Working Pattern: 37.5 which will include long days, nights and weekend working

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2025/6 rates, inclusive of a 3.6% pay award which will be implemented later this year. If you join before the implementation date, the pay award will be backdated to your start date. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2024/5 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2024/25 | NHS Employers)
