Job summary

Cornerstone Healthcare Services Limited is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RGN) to join the care team at The Burren in South Bristol. You will provide high-quality nursing care to residents with neurological, mental health, and dementia needs in a purpose-built setting.

Qualified applicants have at least 2 years UK nursing experience, a valid NMC pin, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse in the UK with a valid NMC pin (RGN essential).
• Experience in a hospital setting with adults with complex needs including challenging behaviours, mental health needs and brain injury (essential).
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work alone or in a team.
• Empathetic approach and excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Organise and delegate workload to ensure delivery of resident care by qualified staff.
• Assess, plan, and evaluate care needs.
• Oversee care provided by HCAs & Senior HCAs on shift.
• Participate in clinical meetings and report concerns to managers.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and protect resident confidentiality.

Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for experienced and passionate Nurse (RGN) to join our award-winning team at The Burren. The Burren is a brand-new purpose-built service location South Bristol, providing high quality care & supporting residents with varying complex neurological, mental health & dementia care needs provided in a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole persons unique strengths and challenges, rather than just the diagnosis.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 2 years experience working as a Registered Nurse within the UK with a valid NMC pin (RGN essential)
• Experience working in a hospital setting with adults that present with complex needs including challenging behaviours and mental health needs and brain injury (essential)
• Strong clinical skills
• Ability to work alone as well as a team and be able to form positive relationships with colleagues, residents and families
• A caring and empathetic approach to residents and their visitors
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)

Rates

• Day shifts - £26.42 per hour
• Night Shifts - £27.10 per hour

Your Working Pattern

• Day Shifts - 7:45am - 20:15pm
• Night Shifts 19.45pm - 8.15am
• Average of 40.25 hours per week.
• Please note that with notice, you will be required to work Day shifts on occasion. Weekend work involved.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Organise and delegate workload to ensure effective delivery of resident’s care is carried out by appropriate skilled members of staff
• Assessing, planning and evaluating care needs or the provision of care
• Oversee care provided by Health Care Assistants & Senior Health Care Assistants on shift
• Participate in clinical meetings as required and report areas of concerns to managers
• Ensure that relevant documentation is maintained in a comprehensive manner
• Respect the confidentiality, dignity and privacy of residents and staff at all times
