Job summary

Avonfield Neurological Centre is seeking an experienced Head of Clinical Services to provide clinical management and leadership for the unit team, acting as a role model to foster professional development and high standards of care.

You will lead governance, drive quality improvement, and support business development while ensuring safe delivery of care across the service. NHS/private backgrounds welcomed, with a focus on collaborative management and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• NMC registration required.
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within a care setting.
• Knowledge of CQC legislation and standards.
• Strong desire for change and innovation with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical direction and leadership to nursing, allied health, and medical staff.
• Lead governance to deliver safe, effective patient care and reduce clinical risk.
• Use outcomes and patient feedback to drive quality improvement and risk management.
• Support the Service Director with business development and annual contracting, ensuring safe delivery of care.
• Contribute to risk mitigation and strategic delivery of the clinical plan.
• Monitor clinical performance indicators and address outliers.
• Analyse outcomes data to influence improved patient outcomes.
