Job summary

Serco is recruiting a Nurse Functional Assessor to assess how health conditions impact daily living, supporting the DWP. The role offers hybrid working, with a mix of home and assessment centre tasks, and a Monday-to-Friday schedule without nights, weekends, or bank holidays.

Salary ranges from £40,000 to £50,000 with increases during the first 12 months. Benefits include training, CME opportunities, and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN and no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year post-registration clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills for report writing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments with customers via telephone, video, or in-person appointments.
• Evaluate how a health condition affects daily living and mobility activities.
• Gather and analyse clinical information objectively and compassionately.
• Produce detailed, accurate, professional reports for the DWP.
• Deliver a respectful and positive user experience.
