Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Redcar. You will conduct face-to-face and telephone assessments, analyse evidence, and produce detailed reports within a supportive hybrid environment with ongoing training.

Starting salary £42,000 rising to £46,000 after accreditation and minimum 3 days per week on site, with annual reviews, incentives and overtime.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high-quality written clinical reports

Are you an NMC‑registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you’ll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑hands‑on clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long‑term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

We offer a starting salary £42,000, which will increase to £46,000 at 12 months once fully accredited and working from a site a minimum of 3 days per week. Annual salary reviews thereafter, performance related incentives and overtime also available.
