Job description

Job Opportunity: Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse (CPN)

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse for a Band 6 CPN position within the West Leicestershire Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). This team provides assessments and treatment for adults aged 18-65 with complex mental health needs.

The role offers opportunities for professional development, including courses like Non-Medical Prescribing.

The successful candidate will:

  1. Maintain a clinical caseload as a Care Coordinator.
  2. Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality assessments, treatment plans, and risk management.
  3. Engage patients and carers in evidence-based, recovery-focused interventions.
  4. Work autonomously and collaboratively in various settings, including home visits and community clinics.

Main duties include organizing and prioritizing caseloads, responding to referrals, conducting comprehensive assessments, and providing reports to other professionals. The role involves supervising less experienced staff and students, ensuring best practices and evidence-based care.
