Job summary

Barnsley Healthcare Federation is recruiting Qualified Nurse Associates to support our Primary Care Network and clinical teams. The roles are based at Hillbrow Surgery and other practices within a neighbourhood, with mentorship from a Practice Nurse.

You will work with Registered Nurses and the multi-disciplinary team to monitor and assess care, promote health, and help patients manage their conditions, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
• GCSE Grade A-C in Maths & English or equivalent.
• Experience working in a primary care environment.
• Experience working as a Health Care Assistant in a General Practice setting.
• Ability to prioritise and organise workload.
• Able to work on own initiative, following minimal direction by registered nurse.
• Ability to be flexible & work under pressure.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Basic IT skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate the English language proficiency level required for this post.
• Committed to delivering high standards of patient care.
• Able to relate well with patients/relatives/and colleagues within the multi disciplinary team.
• Committed to continued personal and educational development.

Responsibilities

• The post holder will Administer immunisations and support health promotion.
• Maintain Infection Control Standards.
• Health Promotion advice to patients.
• Support the General Practice Nurse with QOF.
• Flu planning and recall Child Health.
• Maintaining Safety and Quality.
• Use behaviour change interventions to support health and wellbeing.
• Cervical Screening following training.
