Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust in Manchester invites applications for a Part-time Nurse Associate to join the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service within the Physical Health Team. 22.5 hours per week, with flexible patterns including school hours to support service delivery and work-life balance.

You will assess physical health needs, promote health, and work across MDTs under supervision, contributing to improved physical health outcomes for people accessing

Qualifications

• Qualified Nurse Associate.
• Literacy and Numeracy.
• Assessing Physical Health Needs.
• Awareness of interaction of physical and mental health.
• Knowledge and experience of mental health and social care.
• Venepuncture.
• BLS.
• Blood result awareness in relation to physical health.
• Experience and knowledge of MHA/MCA.

Responsibilities

• Health Promotion & interventions.
• Physical health assessments in clients homes and in a clinic setting.
• Physical Health Improvement Tool.
• Support with High dose antipsychotic monitoring.
• Support with lithium monitoring.
• Support with Clozapine, Mood stabiliser and Depot clinics if required.
• Undertake Venepuncture as required within the PHIT Tool or directed by the senior nurse or medic.
• Undertake ECG as required within the PHIT Tool or directed by the senior nurse or medic.
• Supporting annual flu vaccination clinics if required.
• Support and promote physical health among the wider MDT.
• offer ad hoc and repeat appointments including home visits to monitor changes in ECG and Blood results.
