Job summary

iGo Recruitment is recruiting permanent Functional Assessors in Weston-super-Mare, covering PIP and WCA health assessments. This hybrid role combines home and the Weston-super-Mare assessment centre, BS23 1JH, with no nights or weekend work and a Monday–Friday 9am–5pm pattern.

You will assess medical evidence, complete structured assessments and produce evidence-based reports for the Department for Work and Pensions. Salary is £40,000–£42,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Roles include RGN, RMN and RNLD, plus physiotherapists, OTs, paramedics and pharmacists for Functional Assessor work.
• Work involves completing PIP and WCA assessments and documenting evidence-based reports.
• Hybrid role with option to work from home and at the Weston-super-Mare centre.

Responsibilities

• Review medical evidence and conduct structured assessments.
• Gather information via structured questioning and apply clinical judgement.
• Produce clear, concise and evidence-based reports for the Department for Work and Pensions.
• Do not provide hands-on treatment or medical advice.
