Job summary

Astune Rise is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide high-quality care in a resident-focused environment. You will work within a cohesive team, delivering medical and personal care to residents with chronic illnesses or cognitive impairments. You will observe and assess health, ensuring dignity and privacy at all times.

Role requires maintaining an active NMC PIN, liaising with GPs, and leading a staff team to uphold care standards while following home policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• NMC Code of Professional Conduct and a valid PIN must be maintained.
• Experience caring for residents in a care setting is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and deliver person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Act in accordance with the NMC Code and current home guidance and maintain an active PIN.
• Implement, promote and maintain daily care for residents and deliver agreed standards of care.
• Assess, implement and maintain individual care plans for residents.
• Lead a staff team to ensure residents are appropriately cared for and supervise staff.
• Liaise with GPs and other professionals.
• Order, store and administer medicines according to Home/NMC policies.
• Ensure clinical staff follow Home policies and procedures and promote good communication with residents and relatives.

About the Role:

As a Nurse, you will ensure that high quality care is delivered to the resident and to work as part of a cohesive team. Typically, you will provide medical and personal care to individuals who are chronically ill, disabled or suffering from cognitive impairments. You will also observe and assess the health of their residents.

Your Responsibilities:

• To act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and all current home guidance and maintain an active PIN.

• To implement, promote and maintain care for the residents on a daily basis and deliver agreed standards of care with other members of the team.

• To assess, implement and maintain individual care plans for residents.
• Confidence and ability to effectively lead a staff team to ensure that the residents are appropriately cared for
• Confidence to deliver supervisions to the staff team
• Liaise with GP’s and other professionals.
• To order, store and administer medicines according to the policy of the Home, NMC and CQC/CI requirements.
• To ensure that all staff in the clinical area are familiar with and act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Home.
• Develop and promote good communication with residents, relatives and staff.
• Ensure that care is resident focused and that the residents’ dignity and privacy are maintained at all times.
