Job summary

Astune Rise is seeking a dedicated Nurse to deliver high-quality care to residents in our Scottish care home. You will work as part of a cohesive team, providing medical and personal care to residents who are chronically ill, disabled, or have cognitive impairments, while closely observing health and wellbeing.

You will lead and supervise staff, coordinate care plans, liaise with GPs, manage medicines per policies, and uphold dignity, privacy, and resident-centred values in every shift.

Qualifications

  • Genuine interest in and experience of working with vulnerable adults.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands, and prioritise tasks.
  • Remain flexible and positive regardless of the demands in the service.

Responsibilities

  • To act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and maintain an active PIN.
  • To implement, promote and maintain care for the residents daily and deliver agreed standards of care with other members of the team.
  • To assess, implement and maintain individual care plans for residents.
  • Lead a staff team to ensure residents are appropriately cared for.
  • Deliver supervisions to the staff team.
  • Liaise with GP’s and other professionals.
  • To order, store and administer medicines according to policy of the Home, NMC and CQC/CI requirements.
  • To ensure that all staff in the clinical area are familiar with and act in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Home.
  • Develop and promote good communication with residents, relatives and staff.
  • Ensure that care is resident focused and that the residents’ dignity and privacy are maintained at all times.

About the Role:
