Job summary

Cucumber Recruitment Ltd is seeking Registered Nurses to join our care-home teams across Greater Glasgow. You will provide person-centred clinical care to residents with dementia, frailty, long-term conditions and palliative needs, acting as a clinical lead on shift.

You will liaise with families and professionals, maintain nursing records, uphold NMC standards, and work flexible shifts with competitive hourly rates and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care.
• Complete clinical observations, wound care, catheter care, PEG management, infection control, and monitoring of long-term conditions
• Respond promptly to clinical emergencies or changes in condition
• Administer medications safely in line with NMC standards
• Maintain accurate MAR documentation
• Support ordering, storage, auditing, and disposal of medicines
• Review and implement levels of care as instructed within an individuals care plan
• Work collaboratively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain meticulous clinical records
• Lead shifts and coordinate care assistant teams
• Offer guidance, mentorship, and support to junior staff
• Promote a positive, compassionate, person-centred culture
• Liaise with GPs, community nurses, allied health professionals, and family members
• Provide clear, professional updates and maintain transparent communication
• Uphold NMC Code, safeguarding standards, and regulatory requirements

About the Role

We’re looking for compassionate, skilled Registered Nurses to join our growing team across care home services. As a Cucumber Recruitment Nurse, you’ll deliver safe, effective, person‑centred clinical care to residents with a wide range of nursing needs — including dementia, frailty, long‑term conditions, neurological conditions, and palliative/end‑of‑life support.

You’ll work as a key clinical leader on shift, supporting care teams, liaising with families and external professionals, and ensuring exceptional standards of nursing practice are upheld at all times.

What You’ll Do
