Prezzo Italian in the UK is seeking a high-energy Sous Chef to be second in command in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef and General Manager. You will lead the team, ensure great food, maintain standards and coach staff to perform at their best.

You’ll manage stock, waste and costs, uphold HACCP standards and help deliver a superb guest experience. The role offers £13.91-£14.94 per hour plus tronc and perks, with shifts designed for work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or strong Chef looking to step up in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.
• Commercial know-how: stock, waste, labour and kitchen costs and how to support an efficient operation.
• Great standards: food quality, cleanliness and food safety/HACCP.
• People skills: positive, hands-on leader who coaches people and builds a strong kitchen team.
• Pride in every plate: a great guest experience starts in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Be number two in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef and deputising as needed.
• Lead and develop the kitchen team to deliver consistent Italian dishes.
• Support with stock, waste and cost control to maximise profitability.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and General Manager to drive kitchen standards and guest satisfaction.
