Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Structural Engineer in Bristol to support nuclear new-build projects, including Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C. The role involves advanced structural analysis, FEA, and coordination with international teams across engineering leads, BIM/CAD detailing and site execution.

You will deliver auditable calculations, drawings, specifications and design reports, ensuring traceability and compliance with Eurocodes and ETC-C where applicable.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Master's preferred.
• Substantial experience in heavy reinforced-concrete structural design and FE analysis.
• Chartered status or progress toward chartership is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyse reinforced-concrete and structural steel elements for nuclear island buildings.
• Prepare and independently check finite-element models using ANSYS APDL or equivalent.
• Evaluate design against loads, seismic effects, and construction sequencing.
• Apply Eurocodes and ETC-C standards where applicable to nuclear projects.
• Coordinate technically across international design teams and site execution groups.
