Job summary

Amey is hiring a General Building Operative for a permanent, full-time role in Berkeley, Gloucestershire. You'll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with no Fridays, in a highly regulated nuclear restoration environment.

The role involves providing general maintenance, supporting tradespeople, and assisting with DIY tasks around the site, including decorating and furniture repairs. Baseline security clearance and compliance are required, with a structured, safety-focused

Qualifications

• CITB certification or NVQ trade qualification.
• Solid experience in DIY/general building maintenance.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to provide general maintenance tasks on site.
• Support tradespeople and escort contractors when required.
• Carry out DIY tasks such as decorating, hanging notice boards, furniture repairs.
• Check appliances and fittings; report defects to Team Leader.
• Maintain good housekeeping and grounds as needed.
• Perform other FM duties as directed by the team manager.
