Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services is seeking a Maintenance Operative for the Winfrith site to help maintain and improve critical assets within our nuclear waste treatment initiatives. You will work closely with project engineers and operations teams on both planned and reactive maintenance.

The role offers a 9-day fortnight, with strong career growth potential in a growing nuclear sector. A recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 and CMMS experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 qualification.
• Proven maintenance experience within industrial or process environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• Experience using CMMS systems (MaintMaster, SAP, Maximo or similar).
• Understanding of permit-to-work systems and safe systems of work.
• Good working knowledge of plant and material-handling equipment.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) using CMMS such as MaintMaster.
• Respond to breakdowns, fault-find, diagnose issues, and restore equipment safely.
• Conduct repairs, replacements, and adjustments on plant and material-handling equipment.
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new equipment.
• Complete maintenance records and CMMS updates accurately.
• Ensure compliance with permits, RAMS, SSOW, and site safety procedures.
• Conduct inspections, condition monitoring, and support root cause analysis.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and project teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
