Job Description

Egis seeks an experienced Quality & Nuclear Safety Manager to lead efforts in achieving and maintaining ISO 19443 certification for the UK nuclear team and support nuclear projects. This role serves as a key liaison between the Egis UK team and the headquarters in France, ensuring alignment with quality standards, safety regulations, and nuclear industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the UK team in preparing for and maintaining ISO 19443 certification.
  • Promote a strong nuclear safety culture through training and communication.
  • Implement documentation related to nuclear environment aligned with internal processes.
  • Lead internal audits and prepare for external audits, developing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 37001, and QHSE regulations.
  • Act as the primary contact between the UK team and French headquarters for quality and safety strategies.
  • Facilitate communication and knowledge transfer to ensure consistent application of QHSE and nuclear safety principles.
  • Collaborate with project teams across the UK, France, and internationally to share best practices and improve safety and quality performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Safety Management, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in nuclear safety and quality management, particularly with ISO 19443 certification processes.
  • Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 19443, and other ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, HQSE).
  • Experience with international nuclear projects and understanding of global regulatory frameworks (e.g., ONR, ASNR, NRC).
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across different regions and cultures within a matrix organization.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear safety management systems and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with UK, French, and global teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance and safety.
