Job summary

Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) is recruiting a Nuclear Safety Inspector – Supply Chain to assess duty holders' supply chain arrangements, ensuring safe, right-first-time delivery of nuclear plant and services. You will influence procurement oversight and contribute to international representation where appropriate.

Ideal candidates hold a Science/Engineering degree with professional body membership, and proven experience in nuclear sector supply chain management, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• Membership of a relevant professional body.
• Significant experience in supply chain management within nuclear sector or high-hazard industry.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, procurement processes, oversight and assurance arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Assess duty holders' supply chain management arrangements to ensure safe and right-first-time delivery.
• Influence duty holders to deploy adequate oversight and assurance for high-risk suppliers.
• Represent ONR nationally and internationally where appropriate.
• Receive thorough training from day one.
