A proven track record of contributing effectively within a highly regulated environment is desirable. We seek candidates who can encourage and develop team members, are hands-on, and can tackle complex technical challenges.

This position will be based in our Birchwood or Booths Park offices in North West England, with occasional visits to client sites as needed.

  • Ensuring compliance with safety and technical assurance requirements.
  • Managing scope changes and contributing to project estimates.
  • Identifying applicable standards and specifications.
  • Working across various engineering and technical disciplines.
  • Conducting engineering and scientific reviews.
  • Promoting Amentum’s work through meetings, workshops, and conferences.
Minimum Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in mathematics, physics, or engineering.
  • Broad technical knowledge of nuclear reactor technologies.
  • Innovative thinking for complex engineering challenges.
  • Experience influencing technical strategy.
  • Proficiency with analytical and design software related to reactor design.
  • Experience in engineering delivery on reactor projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with various reactor types, coolants, and nuclear fission and fusion.
