Job summary

Vulcain Engineering is seeking a Cost Engineer to join the Integrated Project Controls team in the UK. You will manage cost performance across major infrastructure programmes, develop WBS and cost baselines, and drive change control and reporting to keep plans aligned with progress.

The role requires deep knowledge of cost management, earned value, and risk integration, with a focus on accurate, stakeholder-friendly communication and robust cost governance.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Cost Engineer on major infrastructure, energy or highly regulated projects.
• Understanding of cost management methodologies and techniques.
• Ability to understand and use cost management software.
• Understanding of earned value analysis

Responsibilities

• Developing, managing and updating project and programme plans including full costing, development of WBSs, resource management, cost management of risk and critical path review.
• Managing the change control as the project/programme scope changes, using the correct processes and updating the necessary configuration documentation.
• Understanding risk and opportunities and integrating the cost of these strategies effectively into the plan/schedule.
• Producing monthly reports and providing cost performance updates to stakeholders.
