Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to support a nuclear client in Chorley, Lancashire. The role covers planning, cost control, risk management and governance across complex projects on a permanent or contract basis.

Working pattern is 37 hours over four days (Mon-Thu) with no Friday work, based on-site in Chorley. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain schedules, budgets and performance reporting while upholding quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in project controls, planning, cost control or project performance reporting.
• Understanding of project schedules, budgets, forecasting and performance reporting.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of change control and project governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and monitor integrated project schedules.
• Prepare and update project plans, milestones, dependencies and critical path.
• Monitor progress against baselines and identify slippage and delays.
• Support cost management, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Maintain project controls documentation and baselines in line with QA.
• Prepare regular project controls reports and dashboards.
