Job summary

Vulcain Engineering UK is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support pressure systems compliance and structural integrity across HPC project scopes. You will act as a technical focal point, working with project teams, regulators, supply chain partners, and international stakeholders to ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, experience in highly regulated industries, RCC-M/ASME knowledge, and strong

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical.
• Strong knowledge of pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements.
• Experience with pressure equipment designed and manufactured to RCC-M and/or ASME codes.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage pressure systems compliance and structural integrity requirements for designated HPC project scopes.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of pressure compliance processes, policies, and standards.
• Ensure project activities meet regulatory, contractual, and quality requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and compliance guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
• Act as a key interface between project managers, regulators, suppliers, and engineering teams.
• Support technical decision-making and resolve pressure systems compliance issues.
• Monitor supplier delivery and conformity assessment activities across the project lifecycle.
• Maintain SQEP requirements and contribute to nuclear safety and compliance objectives.
• Provide technical and compliance oversight for reactor and primary circuit equipment, including Main Coolant Pumps, valves and associated pressure equipment.
