Job summary

Sizewell C is progressing towards operation of the UK’s next major nuclear project. The Operations Instructor will lead and shape the training capability for the future operating organisation, starting with a three-year development at Hinkley Point C before transitioning to Sizewell C in Suffolk.

You will design and deliver training, assess competence and work with multiple teams to embed high standards of safety, human performance and operational readiness across the project.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum of HNC, HND or Degree in an engineering, scientific or other relevant technical discipline.
• Demonstrates the aptitude and capability to learn and apply complex technical information.
• Holder of a recognised training, instructional or assessment qualification.
• Experience of training, mentoring, coaching or developing others.

Responsibilities

• Develop training programmes, learning materials and assessments in support of Sizewell C Operations training strategy.
• Deliver classroom, simulator and workplace-based training for Operations personnel.
• Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback to support development and authorisation decisions.
• Contribute to training governance, SAT alignment and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Sizewell C, Hinkley Point C, EDF and the Nuclear Skills Alliance on capability development.
