Job description

Clinical: Participate in the daily quality control of the gamma camera systems and other nuclear medicine equipment. Perform general nuclear medicine scans and procedures under the direct supervision of registered radiographers or technologists. Process images using the relevant SOPs under supervision and become competent at image manipulation. Maintain high standards of appearance and hygiene as per the Directorate's policies.

Professional Development: Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff to ensure a safe and effective working environment. Show evidence of Continued Professional Development, fulfill mandatory training, participate in in-service and staff development programs, and engage in the annual appraisal system. Comply with all relevant Trust policies and procedures. Report incidents or accidents involving patients, visitors, or staff, ensuring accurate documentation. Liaise with department leads regarding equipment maintenance and faults, ensuring proper documentation. Refer to the full job description for detailed responsibilities and requirements.

Accepted Level 3 Qualifications: A Level with a minimum of 96 points (CCC), including at least one subject with 32 points/Grade C or higher in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc. T Level with a pass grade in Healthcare Science or Science. BTEC Level 4 Diploma in Healthcare Science with relevant units. BTEC National Extended Diploma Grade MMM with relevant STEM subjects. Access to Higher Education Diploma with at least 15 credits in STEM units, graded merit or above.
