Job summary

County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Clinical Technologist based at Darlington Memorial Hospital. You will deliver a complete Nuclear Medicine and DEXA service, performing around 4,200 exams annually, and collaborate within a team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Applicants may be radiographers or science graduates; training and upgrade to nuclear medicine qualifications are supported.

Qualifications

• Qualified radiographer or science graduate with interest in nuclear medicine.
• Willingness to study for further nuclear medicine qualifications if required.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals by oral, IV and intradermal routes.
• Perform bone densitometry (DEXA) scans and contribute to clinical results.
• Quality control testing of equipment and safety procedures.
• Provide patient care and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Communicate complex procedures clearly to patients and staff.
