Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is a major UK health system providing acute, primary, community and mental health services. We are seeking a Clinical Technologist/Radiographer to join the Nuclear Medicine service in Glasgow, based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and New Victoria Hospital.

The role involves performing diagnostic imaging including SPECT-CT, supporting neurology imaging, and administering radiopharmaceuticals in a patient-centred multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Relevant science, technology or radiography qualification (e.g., BSc in Physics or Honours BSc in Radiography).
• Alternative HNC/ONC or DCR with knowledge profile equivalent to Honours BSc.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging studies, including SPECT-CT.
• Support neurology imaging and bone densitometry services.
• Undertake non-imaging investigations and therapeutic administrations of radioisotopes.
• Carry out routine QA procedures.
• Process, manage and analyse patient data.
• Operate under IR(ME)R regulations.
• Cannulate patients and administer radiopharmaceuticals.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary Nuclear Medicine team.
• Deliver patient-centred care across a varied workload.
