Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust in Coventry operates a Nuclear Medicine service with SPECT-CT, PET-CT, and onsite Radiopharmacy. The role leads quality and clinical governance across imaging, non-imaging and molecular radiotherapy work, with emphasis on safety and independent, team-based practice.

The successful candidate will have HCPC/RCT registrations, extensive post-training Nuclear Medicine experience, and strong interpersonal and training skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Clinical Technologist with Nuclear Medicine qualification and post-training experience.
• RCT or HCPC registration.
• Ability to lead quality and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality markers, patient safety and clinical governance for Nuclear Medicine.
• Lead the Nuclear Medicine aspect of QSI accreditation, application and registration.
• Supervise technical staff, trainees and students; accountable for their work.
• Train technical and non-technical staff; give demonstrations and presentations.
• Determine how to achieve defined results with guidance from Technical Manager or Deputy.
