Job summary

ALTEN Group UK is seeking a highly capable Mechanical Equipment/Valves professional to lead delivery of complex contract packages on a major nuclear programme. You will drive safety, schedule, budget, and compliance, coordinating with engineering, commercial, quality, manufacturing, and site teams across the lifecycle.

You will monitor progress, manage NCRs and technical queries, oversee supplier performance across 100+ international Tier 2/3 vendors, and ensure Level 3 schedules align with

Qualifications

• Experience delivering technically complex, safety‑critical projects in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑discipline EPCM contracts and supply chains.
• Strong financial, risk and change control capabilities.
• Familiarity with NEC or FIDIC frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive contract and package delivery to meet safety, schedule, cost, and technical performance.
• Monitor progress, track milestones, risks, deadlines, and budget for senior stakeholders.
• Manage issues across contracts, escalate risks, and resolve NCRs and manufacturing challenges.
• Lead contract administration including variations, claims, and governance.
• Oversee international Tier 2/3 supplier performance and SQEP compliance.
• Develop Level 3 schedules aligned with project plans.
• Coordinate with site teams to meet pre‑shipment and delivery requirements.
• Interface with cross‑programme teams for holistic progress.
