Job summary

EDF Energy invites applicants to join a four-year Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship. You will spend two years at the National College for Nuclear in Somerset, building practical mechanical, electrical and instrumentation skills, then apply learning at Heysham 1 or Heysham 2 to gain real-world experience.

The program starts at 17,606 per annum with a market-leading pension and additional benefits, and requires five GCSEs including Maths and English.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) including Maths, English and two science or technical subjects.

Responsibilities

• Four-year apprenticeship combining practical maintenance and operation training in nuclear engineering.
• Spend years 1–2 at the National College for Nuclear developing mechanical, electrical and instrumentation skills.
• Years 3–4 gain on-site experience at Heysham 1 or Heysham 2 with mentors and real-world projects.
