National Nuclear Laboratory Limited is seeking a Mechanical Craft to join the Preston Laboratory engineering team. The role involves safe maintenance, inspection and testing of plant and equipment, with responsibilities across breakdown recovery and project support.

The position requires an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, ability to follow drawings, strong teamwork and commitment to high quality standards. A valid SC clearance and British citizenship are required where applicable.

Formación

• Time served apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience working to a safe system of work.
• Ability to read and work to engineering drawings.
• Demonstrated teamwork to meet targets.
• Commitment to high workmanship standards and quality.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (UK residency 5 years).
• British citizen as defined in the British Nationality Act 1981.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine examination, inspection, maintenance and testing on plant and equipment.
• Carry out breakdown and recovery maintenance.
• Support project and improvement work.
• Assist in installation, modification and commissioning of plant equipment.
• Follow, complete and update maintenance instructions.
• Provide detailed feedback on maintenance tasks via CMMS.
