Job summary

ALTEN LTD - UK is seeking an experienced I&C Cabling Engineer to manage and supervise all aspects of instrumentation and control cabling and electrical design for the Hinkley Point C project. You will ensure consistency, quality and integration of cabling studies, designs and supplier interfaces while supporting loop diagrams, I/O lists and cable routing.

As the technical contact for electrical and I&C interfaces, you will validate supplier data, coordinate with installation teams on site, and

Qualifications

• Experience in I&C cabling and electrical design in industrial or nuclear environments.
• Electrical design in I&C with knowledge of loop diagrams and I/O lists.
• Experience with cable routing, sizing and installation design.
• Ability to consolidate supplier studies and resolve design issues.
• Familiarity with nuclear safety standards and regulated environments.
• Experience coordinating across multi-disciplinary engineering and supplier teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain Input-Output (I/O) Lists and interface documentation for turnkey contracts.
• Design and validate cable routing, sizing, and loop connections to ensure safety and standards.
• Track maturity of supplier feedback and manage changes, interface issues and design updates.
• Liaise with installation teams to support accurate implementation of cabling and electrical designs on site.
• Review and consolidate cabling and electrical design inputs from I&C Engineers, Suppliers and System Engineers.
