Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to manage I&C cabling and electrical design for the Hinkley Point C project in Bristol. You will ensure consistency, quality, and integration of cabling studies and supplier interfaces, and support loop diagrams, I/O lists, and cable routing.

Required experience in I&C cabling, familiarity with nuclear safety standards, and ability to coordinate across engineering and supplier teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in I&C cabling and electrical design in industrial or nuclear environments.
• Knowledge of loop diagrams, I/O lists, and control systems integration.
• Experience with cable routing, sizing, and installation design.

Responsibilities

• Review and consolidate cabling and electrical design inputs from I&C engineers, suppliers, and system engineers.
• Produce and maintain Input-Output (I/O) Lists and interface documentation for turnkey contracts.
• Design and validate cable routing, sizing, and loop connections to meet nuclear and electrical safety standards.
• Track supplier feedback and manage design changes; liaise with installation teams on site.
