Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Health & Safety Consultant to join our Nuclear, Defence and Civil division. You will lead on health and safety strategies for exciting defence and nuclear new-build projects, while developing your career within our employee-owned, globally connected firm.

Qualifications

• Health and Safety Management experience.
• Construction or Engineering Degree.
• NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ Level 4 in Occupational Safety and Health, Chartered (CMIOSH).
• Experience working within the Energy environment, ideally within the nuclear sector.
• Experience of client facing roles.

Responsibilities

• SHEQ framework on new projects including continual monitoring and improvement.
• SHEQ performance reporting to project leadership teams.
• Develop and monitor risk assessments with Project Managers and brief project teams.
• Define and monitor health and safety objectives for projects.
• Provide advice on occupational health and safety matters.
• Advise on project health and safety planning across design, construction, operation and decommissioning.
• Review monthly performance and implement improvement action plans.
• Ensure practices and standards are consistent.
