Job summary

ALTEN is a global engineering and technology consultancy delivering cost engineering expertise for complex nuclear and energy projects. The role focuses on cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, with close collaboration across project controls managers, planners, and commercial teams.

You will manage budgets, track costs, support change control, and prepare monthly cost reports while engaging with Work Package Managers to ensure KPI alignment and data integrity.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of cost engineering / project controls experience.
• Proven knowledge of cost control, budgeting, and change management.
• Advanced Excel, Power Query, and data analysis skills.
• Experience on large, complex infrastructure, energy, or nuclear projects.
• Familiarity with ERP/project controls software (SAP, EcoSys, Primavera).
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update project budgets, forecasts, and commitments.
• Track and validate actual costs, accruals, and variances.
• Support change control processes and assess cost impacts.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and sponsor reporting.
• Collaborate with Work Package Managers to compile Monthly Project Reviews (MPRs).
• Provide analysis to support KPIs, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of cost systems, tools, and processes.
• Engage proactively with stakeholders to ensure cost data integrity and alignment with schedules.
