Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Design Construction Safety Assurance Lead to support safety assurance across HPC works, coordinating with client teams and contractors to ensure CDM 2015 compliance and effective designer duties throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires deep H&S expertise, knowledge of CDM 2015, and experience in a Principal Designer function, delivering leadership across multiple project teams on a major UK construction program.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 6) or equivalent.
• IOSH Chartered status or progression towards Chartered.
• Approximately five years of health and safety experience in construction or infrastructure.
• Strong working knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
• Experience supporting Principal Designer functions or assurance activities.
• Good understanding of designer duties and design risk management throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and influence across multiple project teams within HPC works.
• Provide professional challenge and guidance as part of the Client Health & Safety team.
• Coordinate safety assurance across on-site and off-site works with CDM 2015 compliance.
• Support the implementation of design risk controls and health & safety files.
